Napló, the daily newspaper of Veszprém county has been organising Journalism Studio since 1993. The annual course lasting from the end of September to June offers the basics of journalism in two semesters.
Participants will get to know the characteristics of each genre, have an overview of the milestones of journalism and moral basics of the trade. Participants can also follow the production process of Napló from design to printing work through the activities of journalists and editors. Meanwhile, they can acquire basics of the most modern computer assisted newspaper production and they are offered the opportunity to publish in the newspaper. At the end of the studio they have an exam to take and those who pass will get a certificate issued by the local branch of the National Alliance of Hungarian Journalists and of the editorial office of Napló.
The studio can be applied for by those having a maturity exam, by secondary school students right before the maturity exam, by students of higher education and by adults having at least a successful maturity exam.
